Akkodis is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a 6+ months contract with a client located in Phoenix, AZ

Pay Range: $40/hr. - $44/hr. (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

• Design engineering using CAD based modeling

• Engineering analysis and weight optimization

• Design for Manufacturing and cost estimation

Must have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

• 3+ years of mechanical design and engineering experience with NX and Teamcenter

• Experience in engine or APU design

• Proven application of ASME Y14.5 drawing standards including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), both in generating drawings and checking drawings generated by others

We value:

• Experience in Conceptual Design, Preliminary Design and Detailed Design phases.

• Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience.

• Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events.

• Experience in composite design
