School-Based Orientation and Mobility Specialist
Pay Range: $60-$70/hour

Quantum Education Professionals is seeking an Orientation and Mobility Specialist for a school-based role serving students at Saint Lucy School for Children with Visual Impairments. In this role, you will engage with students and passionate teammates. Part and full-time opportunities are available.

Responsibilities:

• Assess student's functional abilities for the purpose of determining program eligibility and developing recommendations for treatment and appropriate assistive devices.
• Develop orientation and mobility plans for the purpose of ensuring compliance with IEP goals.
• Instruct students in the use of various equipment and materials for the purpose of minimizing the adverse impact of visual impairments and helping students reach their highest level of independence.
• Participate in IEP/Evaluation/Transition meetings.
• Collaborate with a variety of professionals and individuals.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree
• Current Orientation and Mobility Certification from the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals (ACVREP)
