• Grade level placement will be discussed during the interview

Qualifications

• EIPA score of 4.0 or higher (required)

• School or pediatric experience preferred

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Sign Language Interpreter Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication between students and staff during the school day

• Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa

• Adjust signing level and format based on student needs and comprehension

• Ensure student access to classroom content, discussions, and school activities

• Collaborate with educators and special education teams

• Maintain student confidentiality and uphold professional standards

• Follow all IEP or 504 plan guidance
