Job Description Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A rewarding opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive support and therapy services within a K-12 educational setting in Burnsville, NC. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY) and offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in students' communication development and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language assessments for students across K-12 grade levels
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress
Monitor and document student performance and adjust therapy techniques accordingly
Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and school policies related to speech therapy services
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional expertise to goal setting
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
Experience working with children in school-based settings, K-12 preferred
Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders, assessment tools, and intervention strategies
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse student populations and educational teams
Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records
